Smart Systems Integration Erasmus Mundus

Smart Systems are defined as self-sufficient intelligent (sub-)systems with advanced functionality, enabled by underlying micro- nano- and bio-systems and components. Because they enable and enhance products and services in every walk of life, Smart Systems are of strategic importance for the competitiveness of entire sectors and economies in Europe. SSI is a newly founded Erasmus Mundus Master Course (EMMC) with scholarships for EU and non-EU candidates.

The EMJMD SSI+ programme has fully funded Erasmus Mundus Visiting Scholar opportunities for individuals with relevant academic or industrial experience in the field of smart systems from component technology such as MEMS and sensors to system design and integration. The scholar visit can take place in the autumn semester at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh or Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Budapest, and it is available at the University of Southeast Norway in Vestfold. The duration is one week (at least 4 days) and up to a few weeks. The visiting scholars will provide guest lectures on selected topics to the students on the EMJMD programme.

We invite interests with all levels of experience and the selection will be based on the requirements for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Please contact us for more information.
